Champions in the Pool: SAIoneers Excel at the CBSE Zonal Level Swimming Championship 2027
Our school proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of its young swimmers at the CBSE Zonal Level Swimming Championship, held at Delhi Public School (DPS), Bhilai, from 26th to 28th July 2027. Competing against some of the best swimmers from across the region, our students displayed remarkable determination, skill, and sportsmanship, bringing home an impressive haul of gold, silver, and bronze medals. Leading the medal tally was Ireen Haldar of Class VIII, who delivered an exceptional performance by winning Gold medals in the 400m Freestyle, 800m Freestyle, 4 X 100m Freestyle Relay, and 4 X 100m Medley Relay, along with a Silver medal in the 200m Freestyle and Bronze medals in the 100m Freestyle and 100m Backstroke. Harshita Mangaraj of Class IV also performed brilliantly, securing Silver medals in the 200m Breaststroke and 200m Individual Medley, besides being a member of the Gold medal-winning 4 X 100m Freestyle Relay and 4 X 100m Medley Relay teams. Priana Pati Patra of Class VIII added to the school's success by winning Silver medals in the 50m and 100m Breaststroke, along with Gold medals in both relay events. Mokshita Das of Class IX contributed significantly by winning Gold medals in the 4 X 100m Freestyle Relay and 4 X 100m Medley Relay. In the Under-11 Girls category, Aratrika Saha of Class IV showcased exceptional talent by winning Gold medals in the 50m Butterfly and 200m Individual Medley, along with a Silver medal in the 4 X 50m Medley Relay. Saanvi Raiguru Mohapatra of Class IV earned a Bronze medal in the 50m Backstroke and was also part of the winning relay team. Samaaya Sahu of Class IV, Aaditri Sharma of Class IV, and Adhira Anaika Ransingh of Class IV played a crucial role in helping their team secure the Gold medal in the 4 X 50m Medley Relay, demonstrating excellent teamwork and coordination. The boys' team also delivered an impressive performance. Aarav Chidananda Swin of Class IX won the Gold medal in the 200m Breaststroke, Silver medals in the 100m Breaststroke and 1500m Freestyle, and a Bronze medal in the 50m Breaststroke. Niraj Das of Class IX, Priyanshu Pattnaik of Class VIII, and Amit Vikram Routray of Class VII were instrumental in winning Gold medals in both the 4 X 100m Freestyle Relay and 4 X 100m Medley Relay, reflecting the strength and coordination of the school's relay teams. Adding another feather to the school's cap, all the above-mentioned swimmers have qualified to participate in the CBSE National Level Swimming Championship, which will be held in Bhopal. Their remarkable achievements are a testament to their dedication, perseverance, and countless hours of training under the guidance of their coaches. The school extends its heartfelt congratulations to all the medal winners, their coaches, and parents for this remarkable accomplishment. We wish our young champions the very best as they prepare to compete at the national level and continue to bring laurels to the school.
