Going Global Club Marks International Youth Day with a Powerful Public Awareness Initiative

On August 29, 2026, the students of the Going Global Club observed International Youth Day at Esplanade Mall with a vibrant public presentation centred on a pressing issue of contemporary life, the growing impact of mobile addiction and the need to reclaim meaningful human connections. Under the theme “Beyond the Screen: Reclaiming Real Connections,” the students explored how excessive dependence on mobile devices and prolonged screen time can affect children and adults alike, gradually creating emotional distance within families and communities. The initiative encouraged audiences to reflect on how technology, while bringing the world closer, can sometimes take us further away from the people physically present around us. The presentation combined short drama, interactive games, dance, and music to communicate this message in an engaging and accessible manner.
