Journey Into Tribal Heritage: SAIoneers Explore Regional Museum of Natural History
On 15th July 2023, young SAIoneers from Classes VII and VIII embarked on a captivating local trip to the Regional Museum of Natural History in Bhubaneswar. Immersed in the rich cultural diversity of Odisha's 62 tribal communities, the students explored various galleries showcasing themes like tribal ornaments, agricultural objects, costumes, utensils, art, and dokra items. They also delved into tribal life through the museum's library of documents. The visit continued with an engaging video presentation on Odisha's famous Balijatra event at the museum's auditorium. Overall, the trip offered an informative and entertaining experience, celebrating the heritage of the state's vibrant tribal communities.
