SAI International School Organised Cyber Safety & Security Awareness Workshop

SAI International School organised a Cyber Safety & Security Awareness Workshop for students of Classes VII–IX, in collaboration with the Commissionerate of Police, Bhubaneswar–Cuttack, Government of Odisha. The initiative aimed to sensitise young learners about responsible digital behaviour and equip them with the knowledge and skills required to navigate the online world safely and securely.

The workshop featured insightful sessions by Swaraj Debata, OPS, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (OPS-SB), Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar–Cuttack, and Akshay Kumar Nayak, DCP, IT & Social Media Cell, Bhubaneswar–Cuttack.

Through engaging discussions and practical guidance, the speakers highlighted the importance of cyber hygiene, online privacy, responsible use of social media, protection of personal information, recognising cyber threats, and responding appropriately to suspicious online activities. Students were encouraged to remain vigilant and make informed choices while using digital platforms.

The interaction provided students with a valuable opportunity to understand the evolving cyber landscape and the responsibilities that come with being digital citizens. The speakers also emphasised the need for awareness and caution in preventing cyber-related risks and maintaining a safe online environment. The workshop served as an important step towards fostering a culture of digital responsibility, cyber awareness and online safety among young learners.
